We are carefully monitoring the developing situation and will continue to do so. As of now, we would like to assure everyone that we at Tender Nursing Care are putting in our utmost efforts to provide a safe environment for our patients.
Personal Support Workers are required to sanitize and wash their hands as often as possible and especially before entering residents' homes at the start of the shift.
All PSWs and RPNs will have access to full PPE (masks, gowns, face shields etc.) as well as training in putting off and removing PPE correctly.
Any Personal Support Worker feeling any signs of unwellness will not be scheduled.
Case managers will minimize their visits if possible and do meetings over the phone in order to avoid non-essential travel and contact.
Our office will be closed to visitors during this time until further notice.
All equipment such as ice machines will be properly disinfected before distribution.
Tender Nursing Care employees are not restricted in visiting long term care homes, hospitals, and retirement homes. If you would like to have something delivered, let us know and we can work to make that happen.
We understand the impact social isolation can have on an individual and will do our best to provide companionship and encouragement during this time.
Some steps we have taken are:
We would like to work together with you and your families to develop a care plan which can cover all your needs during this time.
Help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses to others by:
· Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based sanitizer (greater than 60% alcohol) if soap and water are not available.
· Avoid contact with others until your symptoms subside and/or you have been evaluated by a physician.
· Cover your mouth and nose if you cough and/or sneeze into your sleeve.
